Review of Mauritius dolphin swimming and whale watching by speedboat, with snorkeling, wildlife ethics, practical tips, and honest value advice.
“Good ethical company. We were lucky and managed to see both the whales and dolphins today. Other boats were allowing people to jump in the water whilst the whale was present and it would then disappear. It was clear it didn’t want to be disturbed. The dolphins didn’t appear to mind that everyone was swimming amongst them. It did get too busy with all the other boats but overall a great experience”

“A great trip for us as a couple. Good mix of people on the trip, guides catered for all. Boat was comfortable and super fast. Guides were well informed and knowledgeable, and nice local people. The dolphin experience was a little hectic mainly due to other companies jostling for space! Hardly a surprise that the pod we saw kept diving deep for some cover. Nevertheless, awesome being up close and seeing them even if for a brief encounter. The snorkelling spots were ace, crystal clear waters and huge variety of fish to see. I even spotted a sea snake. Lunch on the island was great, a pleasant surprise a glass…”

“Ieri abbiamo fatto l’escursione a Mauritius, nuotare con i delfini in mare aperto, crystal rock and also ile Bénitier. We really enjoyed. “Aucun respect des dauphins L’activité est vendue pour du petit groupe , nous étions 25. Quant au déroulement de l’activité, c’est honteux : départ 8h, 20 min de chasse aux dauphins et 20 min de snorkling dans un lieu blindé de monde où les bateaux font des concours de gaz. 3h sur l’île aux benitiers sur laquelle il n’y a rien à voir hormis se baigner au milieu des gaz d’échappement des bateaux.”
